Tacoma Country & Golf Club

I was truly excited to photograph here with the various surrounding locations. A small lake serves as a backdrop during the ceremony, tall trees provide shade, and there is plenty of space to move around when shooting. The reception area is lined with large windows providing warm, natural light. At night, the lighting in the room is very even and works well for high-speed black and white so photographers do not have to use a flash. This club hosted the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1994. It was founded in 1894 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S., being the oldest west of the Mississippi. It was also named to 'GOLF Magazine's' 1995 list of the 'First 100 Clubs in America.' John Steidel redesigned five holes in 1987.
