The Solvang Gardens Lodge

The Solvang Gaard Lodge was the first motel in Solvang, built in 1950 when few people even knew that Solvang existed. It was fashioned after a classic Danish farmhouse and placed in an idyllic location on the fringe of the village, overlooking the rolling hills of the Alisal Guest Ranch and the Santa Ynez River.

Because of its lovely garden setting, the name of the motel was changed in 1999 to the Solvang Gardens Lodge.
