Bartlett House Inn

This 10 bedroom/bath Victorian home was built in 1908 by NY State Assemblyman John Bartlett to entertain many of that period's luminaries. Now in its 3rd decade as a B&B, new owner's Diane & Jack have spent the last year restoring the interior of this magnificent structure to its original beauty.

The Inn has a large front porch for your enjoyment. Within the Bartlett House you will see stately Corinthian columns, stained glass windows, magnificent white oak parquetry floors, two fireplaces and intricate moldings rarely seen today. The furnishings and adornments are the result of Diane's years as an Interior Decorator with Ethan Allen Furnishings, as well as from Jack and Diane's many years of travel to Asia, Africa, South America and Europe. Jack still travels for the World Wildlife Fund and continues to acquires items that add unique touches to the Inn.

Bartlett House frequently hosts large reunions of families and friends, as well as wedding parties. Some of those weddings resulted from a romantic getaway weekend here. A romantic trip to Greenport is what brings many of our Guests for the first time. The Inn is also a favored lodging destination for the many tourists who travel to the area to visit the numerous North Shore vineyards and farms, dine at the area's excellent restaurants, or tour its galleries, antique shops, beaches, and Tall Sailing Ships and other harbor attractions.

The Inn is also favored by business travelers. While it offers all of the comforts and service expected at a B&B, Bartlett House also offers wireless hi-speed internet connection, in-room telephones, and proximity to the ferries to Connecticut, Shelter Island and the South Shore, the Long Island Railroad and the Sunrise Express, a relaxing 2 ½ hour bus service that departs frequently throughout the day from its depot 5 minutes walk from the Inn, and terminates next to Grand Central Station.
A rare intimate glimpse into the history and charm of four unique North Fork houses.

Wassail cider, cookies and other holiday refreshments mixed with Christmas Carols. And, in this atmosphere of giving, all proceeds will be donated to the local Toys for Tots Fund of the United States Marines.

Tickets, in advance, for the entire tour cost $20 per person and are available by calling The Victorian Lady at (631) 477-1837. Guests at the B&Bs on December 3 will receive free tickets.
