ROMANCE AT THE SUPERMARKET Although Kevin and Kristina went to the same high school; they would not meet until they found themselves working at the same local grocery store one summer. They worked in separate departments and didn’t see each other all that often, but that didn’t stop Kevin from asking Kristina to see a movie one night after work. Clearly, it was a successful first date!

SIX YEARS LATER:Kevin and Kristina had been dating for almost six years before Kevin proposed. The proposal was worth the wait. Kevin took Kristina to one of their favorite summer spots, Picnic Point Beach. His plan was to find a rock under which to hide the ring because Kristina loves to beach comb. Because it was high tide, Kevin couldn’t find any rocks to hide the ring under, but he was still able to surprise Kristina. He called her over to a big rock saying that he found something strange. As Kristina approached, she saw that he had indeed found something strange. A ring box! From there he dropped to one knee and asked her to be his wife and share in his life with him always.

THE PLANNING BEGINS: The planning of Kevin and Kristina’s wedding centered around the wedding date It had to be May 14, 2005. Kristina’s grandparents were married on that day 55 years earlier. Although Kristina’s grandmother had passed on five years ago, the bond they shared was a special one and she wanted to honor both her grandparents by remembering their wedding day while celebrating her’s at the same time.

CLASSIC ELEGANCE: Now that the date had been set, a theme for the wedding was decided. Kevin and Kristina wanted their wedding to epitomize all things simple and classically elegant. The colors were celadon green, pale yellow, and white with black accents. Kristina wore a diamond white gown in silk organza by 2Be Bride, while the bridesmaids wore simple, celadon green strapless dresses that incorporated a white sash around the waist. They carried bouquets of calla lilies, white roses, and tulips. The bride’s bouquet had a very similar style while incorporating gorgeous white peonies.

THE BIG DAY ARRIVES: As guests began to arrive at the church where Kristina had grown up, the ceremony began with a slide show of special moments Kevin and Kristina had shared over what was now, almost seven years together. After the ceremony, the reception got underway at the Everett Marina near the waterfront. The bride and groom arrived in a Porsche boxster, borrowed from an extremely trusting friend. The night unfolded amidst a glow of candlelight and jazz music played by Darren Motamedy. It was truly a night to be remembered by all.
